University of Calgary Properties Group (UCPG) has submitted a Land Use Application (reference number: LOC2023-0125), that is currently under city review to realize a new development vision for this site, which is proposed to include, a range of building heights, residential and hotel, human-scaled public spaces and a circulation network.

University of Calgary Properties Group, in collaboration with world-renowned consultants, hosted a series of public engagement events to solicit initial feedback from UIQ’s existing tenants, surrounding neighbours, and the general public. A variety of opportunities to provide feedback was offered including in-person events, virtual events, and an online survey.

The Proposed Development Framework is currently under active review by the City of Calgary and has been submitted as a formal City requirement and to support the active Outline Plan and Land Use Redesignation application (LOC2023-1025).
